The application for the 2018-19 Future Cities team is now active on our homepage. All seventh grade students interested in applying can begin to work on their application immediately. Students have until the end of school on April 6, 2018 to apply. Any questions, please see Mr. Raines in B103.

LMS CRAFT SHOW Saturday, March 17 9:00-4:00!

Over 80 vendors including handmade crafts, gifts and goodies. Come out to support this fundraiser for our school. Both adult and student volunteers are still needed! Contact the office if interested in helping.

Calling all March Madness fans - the LMS Library Basketball Tower Challenge is for you!Can you keep a basketball suspended for 20 seconds using only newspapers and masking tape? Stop by the library anytimeand give it a try! The library is also looking for donations of cleanplastic grocery bags for April's event - stay tuned for details!

Three of our LMS students will have a table at the Craft Show on Saturday selling snacks. They are raising money for our LMS Helping Hands students and the Chester County Food Bank. Any and all donations are welcome for these snacks as they are trying to raise at least $300. Please stop by their table and help with this noble project.

The Patriot’s Club is hosting a penny war to donate to Paws of War. This organization saves 2 lives by saving a dog from an animal shelter and then training it to work with Veterans that suffer from PTSD and other emotional trauma. Each house will be assigned a jar if you want your house to win you put in pennies, to sabotage the other teams put in quarters, dimes, bills anything besides pennies to other houses jars. The goal is to have the highest amount of pennies and least amount of other coins and dollars. The house with the most points at the end wins. The winning house gets to throw pies in the face of their teachers. The Penny War will run during lunches from March 19-23.

Try-outs for 7th & 8th girls Lacrosse – March 19-21, pick up at 4:30 All physicals are due to Coach Creighton or Coach Ruch prior to the try-outs.

Try-outs for Softball 7th & 8th grade are Thursday-Friday, March 15-16pick up at 4:45. Please give your physicals to Coach Hagerty or Coach Rutledge.

Any 8th grader interested in trying out for cheerleading next year at East High School, there will be an informational meeting for parents and candidates Wednesday, March 21 at 7:00pm in the East Library. Open Gym / Try-outs are April 9-12th 7:00-9:00 pm in the East small gym. Paperwork is available on line or in the LMS lobby.

Anyone interested in playing golf for Downingtown East next year, there will be a meeting with the coach, Mr. Yard, on Monday, March 19 during Reach in the upper cafetorium. A parent meeting will follow on Tuesday evening, March 20 at 7:00pm in the D-town East library. This is for both the boys and girls golf teams.

Downingtown East Football Stud Academy

WHO: Anyone who played football or wants to play football as an offensive or defensive lineman.

WHAT: A camp designed to increase offensive and defensive lineman skills.

WHEN: Saturday 3/17/18, from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM

WHERE: Downingtown East High School Big Gym

WHY: To improve our offensive and defensive lineman skills!
