CyraneInstallation.

The following instructionsdescribe how to prepare the PC ready to operate Cyrane.

Before starting ensure the user logged into the Client PC has administrative rights to change Internet settings or logged onto the PC as Administrator

Make sure you are running Internet Explorer and complete instructions set out below. Enter store URL in web address.

Add to favourites

And add to menu bar so you can save the short cut on the PChomepage.

1.2 Run and Install Active X Components

  • Open an IE browser window as administrator.
  • Select Tools
  • Internet Options
  • Security
  • Trusted Sites
  • Sites and in the Add this website add Cyrane URL
  • then close and go to Custom Level.

Custom Level, and change the security setting for the following Active X controls and plugs-ins:

3.1 LOGON (Only for Hosted Sites)

To Logon to the application open the MS Internet explorer using the URL entered in the Trusted Sites section

There are two levels of login. The first one will be the windows login screen as seen in the screen shot below. User name and password will be provided on by our Support Team by phone.

User Name Neptune.

Password – Will be given by support.

Tick Remember my password.

The second log in will be the Cyrane Log in Screen

The Username and Password will be provided by your Administrator.

To test Cyrane and confirm drop down menu’s do the following Steps.

  • Main Menu -Sales Order - When the Prompt for Active X controls asks you to Install – Click Install.
  • Customer Search - Click Account Type (should have two values, Retail and Trade in the drop-down box)
  • Main Menu – Marketing – Product Maintenance (Install Active X controls when prompted)
  • Main Menu – Reports select one.

Note. You will need to download Java to enable your reports to print.

Java.

Click Run When prompted

Click Yes

Click Install

Note. If you are presented with any options for browers setting untick them.

Click Close.

You will need to verify Java Version.

Tick the box Do not show me this again.

You will need to Configure Java.

Go to the start menu on the PC.

Type in Java.

You will then see Configure Java.

In the security Tab

You will need to add the following by clicking Edit Site list.

Then click ok.
