CVCS High School Families,

I can’t believe that it is already that time of year in which we get to gear up for football! Praise the Lord!!

We have had one of the most productive off season training programs in CVCS football history. Immediately following Christmas break we started after school weight training and averaged 18 players for 10 weeks. After spring break we started another 6 week weight room program and have been averaging around 16 players. These boys are seeing lots of gains and their bodies are conditioned and will be ready to go once football camp comes around.

This year looks like we will have the most players ever participate in the CVCS football program. Also it is a HUGE answer to prayer that we have more qualified and talented HS coaches than ever before. We are so excited about what is going on this summer and we are trusting the Lord that we will have players who will choose to invest in themselves and their development this summer. We have added a few new pieces of equipment to help in the development of our athletes including a football throwing machine, pictured below. Not only is it fun to use but our players have been challenged to develop their catching skills.

Summer Football Camp Schedule

This year we will be having a unique High School summer football camp schedule. StartingJune 6th at 4pm – 6pm, both JV and Varsity programs will be together at Charger Field and will practice together until Tuesday June 14th, see schedule below. After which the Varsity team will be attending the Boise State Football Camp from Wednesday 15th - Saturday 18th. This is a full pad camp and equipment check out will be at 10:30am on Monday June 6th at the football equipment storage at Charger field. See schedule below.

The cost for the HS football camp is $225 for Varsity players (11th- 12th grades or by invitation) which includes the cost of the BSU camp; and $125 for JV players or those not available to attend the BSU camp. We must have 20+ players registered for the BSU camp to be able to participate. This camp has many schools throughout Idaho and the Pacific Northwest that are the same size as CVCS, we will not be mismatched against substantially larger schools. We will see some great competition and the camp director is excited for another small school to be a part of it. If money is an issue please reach out as soon as possible, we don’t want finances to ever hinder an athlete for playing sports at CVCS. For questions or more information please reach out.

It is a limited contact competition that is FAST and FUN!! As we have increased our players’ exposure to 7on7 we see huge improvements.

New Helmet Leasing Option 2016

We are adding a NEW HELMET LEASING OPTION this year. Working with Riddell we have the option for families to lease a BRAND NEW HELMET for this fall. This is an exciting opportunity for players to have access to the NEWEST HELMET TECHNOLOGY, click on the above picture to get more information on the SPEEDFLEX. The CVCS football program owns 60+ great helmets that get reconditioned every 2 years and they are much better than any helmet that I ever played with in college. They are very safe and amazing helmets but they are not the best.

This new program gives your son the opportunity to use the best helmet on the market today. If you are interested in participating in this program please send me an email ASAP and I will get you all the information about it and coordinate a meeting with the Riddell rep and all the players/families interested for a proper fitting.

Fall Camp Starts Monday August 8th and will be here soon! Most of the dates for summer football activities are on the CVCS Tandem calendar as well.

Thanks for your support of CVCS football. As always, please reach out if you have any questions or would like more information on how to get involved in CVCS football. God bless and Go Chargers!

Strong in Him,

Dan Reece
