Research EXPERIENCE

  • Master thesis research:worked on power modeling for Android mobile smartphone(Required the development of Android logger, computer side sample generator and power models using regression analysis, curve fitting and neural networks).
  • Research project: instruction level power estimation for ATMega32 microcontrollers, this work includes measuring power, power spectrum, instruments to computer interfacing, power modeling and programing using C and Java.

WORK EXPERIENCE

IT Support Specialist at Academic Computing, American University of Sharjah, UAE September 2012-Present

  • Provided Network and PC/Laptop support in a Windows XP/7 environment for all IT clients (students, staff and faculty).
  • Setup and support of Linux-based Electronic Design Automation laboratory and software (Synopsys and Cadence).
  • Conducted tutorial on Red Hat Linuxfor IT Specialists in Academic Computing.
  • Resolved many common computer problems, including backing up data, securing computer, setup, deployment and creation of PC images and updating operating system and applications.
  • Installation and support of all new PCs and printers (Engineering Building laboratories).

  • Worked with the Computer and Electrical teams for controlling a Medical Bed. First winner in Made in Palestine Competition for Professionals, 2010.
  • Controlled a Stone Engraving Machine (2D CNC Machine)with the Computer and Electrical teams. Second winner in Made in Palestine Competition for Professionals, 2009.
  • PLC over PIC (SamPLC) using C# and PIC18F4620, Compiler for PIC18F4620 Microcontroller to Program it in PLC Fashion (Ladder Diagram).
  • SCROM Compliant Authoring Tool using, Course Authoring Tool for SCORM compliant Learning Management Systems, the tool is used as the official authoring tool for An-Najah National University.
  • Disk Library Management System (SamDiskLib) using C# and ACCESS used in CD/DVD automatic indexing and searching.
