Important Booking Information - Please Note:

  • To book at member discounted prices you will need to be able to login using your home email and password. If you need help to do this please do not hesitate to contact me.
  • 2 day member price booking £295 (£395 for non members). Daily fees are also available.
  • You can book online and choose to pay by card, cheque or BACS payment. However your delegate place will only be confirmed once payment has been received.
  • Accommodation can be booked direct with the Gatwick Hilton at the discounted rate of £89 per person B&B by clicking here.
  • Any pending member ie anyone who has applied for membership but the approval / payment process has yet to complete can book as a member above. However, the non member price for conference may become due if the application fails to complete.
  • Any lapsed member will need to pay their membership fee to be able to book as a member.
  • Cancellation of bookings less than two weeks from the event will not result in a refund.

It wouldn’t be a Conference without delegates and CMSUK are proud that we have not increased our fees in the last five years and that we offer very good discounts to our members. Delegate numbers have increased year on year and of coursemore delegates provides greater opportunities for networking.

Conference Speakers:

CMSUK are particularly pleased to have such an array of influential, informative and diverse speakers this year.

These include:

  • Key Note Speaker 1: Lisa Hughes, Allied Professions Officer, Professional Leadership Team, Department of Health. Presentation: How Private Practice can fit into the NHS

Lisa is an exceptional speaker and spoke at last year’s conference. She has kindly agreed to speak this year. Lisa qualified as a dietician in 1992 and went onto specialise in both eating disorders and diabetes. Lisa has also worked internationally and been on the board of a UK charity. Lisa has excelled in service improvement, evidence-based policy and multiprofessional collaboration. Lisa is currently the Allied Health Professions Officer at the Department of Health. She uses her clinical, academic, policy, project and stakeholder management skills to manage a varied portfolio. This includes workforce planning, education and training, leadership and the quality agenda. She is also the Department of Health appointed Co-Chair of the National Allied Health Professional Advisory Board.

  • Key Note Speaker 2: Prof Keith Willett, NCD for Trauma Care at Department of Health. Presentation: Developments in Rehabilitation and trauma

Professor Keith Willett was appointed as the first National Clinical Director for Trauma Care on 1 April 2009. He has extensive experience of trauma care and medical management and is Professor of Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at the University of Oxford and continues to work as Honorary Consultant Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. Keith is the co-founder of the unique consultant delivered Oxford Trauma Service established in 1993. In 2003 he founded the Kadoorie Centre for Critical Care Research and Education focusing on outcomes of treatment in the injured patient, and established the Oxford Trauma Research Group.

  • Key Note Speaker 3:Prof John D Banja, Professor of Ethics. Presentation: Ethical issues when providing evidence based practice

We are delighted this year to have John D. Banja to speak at out Conference. He is a Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and a medical ethicist at the Centre for Ethics at Emory University USA. Dr.Banja is an eminent international speaker Dr.Banja has conducted research or educational projects with numerous federal and private organizations including the American College of Surgeons, The National Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research. Dr Banja is a regular speaker at the CMSA annual conference; he has a clear understanding of case management and was a former board member of the Commission for Case Manager Certification in the USA.

Conference Dinner Dance:

At just £55 per person or £400 for a table of 8 guests, the evening provides a fantastic networking opportunity as well as a chance to relax and enjoy good food, some music and if you are feeling brave, even some dancing! The evening also incorporates the presentation of the CMSUK Case Manager of the Year Award for 2012 so there is also the opportunity for some good celebrating.

CMSUK Case Manager of the Year Award 2012:

The Nominations for this year’s award have now been received and are currently being considered by the CMSUK Board of Trustees. The three finalists will beannounced shortly and will be invited to attend the entire 2 day conference including accommodation & the Dinner Dance as guests of CMSUK.
