Obtaining your MyInfo and Park Nicollet Temporary Passwords

  1. Call the IS&T Support Center Help Desk at 952-993-9000.
  2. SelectOption 2 for the Park Nicollet Options Menu.
  3. Select Option 1 for Password Help.
  4. Inform the Help Desk Agent you are a new student and Park Nicollet team member and you are calling to obtain your temporary passwords for MyInfo and Park Nicollet network access.
  5. The Help Desk Agent will verify your identity by asking you to confirm the following:
  6. Name
  7. Network User Name
  8. Employee Number
  9. Once verified, you will receive your MyInfo temporary password via the phone with the IS&T Support Center Help Desk. This document may be used to keep track of the temporary passwords you are issued:

/ If any issues arise while obtaining your temporary passwords, please get the name of the
Help Desk Agent, so it can be used to follow-up!

Login to MyInfo and Employee Self Service

  1. Go to MyInfo:
  2. In the sign on fields, enter your Employee Number and MyInfo Temporary password.
  3. Follow the prompts to create your permanent password for your MyInfo account.
  4. Once you create your permanent password for MyInfo, you will be prompted to sign into the Network.
  5. Enter your Network Username and Park Nicollet Temporary Password.
  6. Follow the prompts to create a permanent password for your Park Nicollet network access, this is the password you will use to login to anything you access from work.
  7. You can use the same permanent password for both MyInfo and the Park Nicollet network login.

Note: If you have issues logging into either system, contact the IS&T Support Center Help Desk at 952.993.9000.

Your customized password must meet the following password guidelines:

  • Cannot contain your account name or parts of your full name that exceed two consecutive characters.
  • Must be at least eight characters in length.
  • Must contain one alpha character, one numeric, and one symbol:
  • Uppercase alpha characters (A through Z) or lower case characters (a through z).
  • Numbers (0 through 9).
  • One of the following 4 special characters in the password:
  • ? ! . *

Any other special characters will cause issues with your log in.

Logging into tLP (the Learning Point)

The Learning Point is our learning management system. It allows users to complete assigned e-Learning or assigned tip sheets regarding the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) You must log into the Learning Point (tLP) to complete your mandatory education and to learn more about Epic.

  1. Once you have successfully signed into MyInfo, you will be presented with a home page with applications and links.
  2. Select the Learning Point (tLP) link.
  3. Enter your Network User Name and your Password to log into tLP. Click Sign in.

How to Complete your Mandatory Education e-Learnings and Epic e-Learnings

Prior to getting access to Epic, our electronic medical record (EMR), you are required to complete some e-Learning lessons. These trainings are required for students and instructors. This training is completed remotely through our learning management system, called tLP.

  1. All of your Mandatory and Epic e-learnings will be available via the tLP Library.
  2. To access the lessons, click the Library button in the top header of tLP. The Library side panel displays.
  1. From the Library side panel, clickEPIC E-LEARNING-AMBULATORY NURSING AND MA STUDENTS.
  1. Complete the lessons in the order they appear, from top to bottom. Multiple pages may be available.

  1. For each lesson, click the Select menu dropdown arrow, and select Start.

What should you do if you cannot login to tLP to complete the training?

Educational Instructors: Please have your students check their login access as soon as possible to identify any access issues. In our effort to streamline any phone calls related to login security issues, please collate the names of your students who might have issues and contact the Park Nicollet Help Desk at 952.993.9000. Make sure to identify yourself, the student(s), school and the problem they are having when attempting to login.

After completing the mandatory and Epic e-Learnings, how do you get Epic access?

Students-Once you have completed the mandatory and Epic e-Learnings, email your Educational Instructor.

Educational Instructor-Please and and they will activate the student(s) Epic account. Please include the student’s first name, middle initial, last name and employee ID. This will ensure the correct student is activated.

Once the student(s) are activated Brianna or Rachael will reply back to the educator to inform them the account(s) have been activated.

tLP FAQs

Question / Answer
I can login to tLP, but when I try to launch the lesson it doesn’t open: / There are times when your pop-up blocker will not allow the lessons to open. Turn off your pop-up blocker and the lesson should open upon retrying.
I turned off the pop-up blocker and the lesson will not launch? / Listed below are the technical requirements for working in tLP. If you are having problems opening a lesson, it may be that your computer does not meet the minimum requirements. You will need to update your computer or find a different computer to complete the lessons.
If your computer does not meet these requirements, you will need to complete training on a Park Nicollet Network computer:
  1. Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 or greater
  2. Browser: Internet Explorer 11 (JavaScript must be enabled. Pop-up blocker must be disabled)
  3. Plugin: Macromedia Flash 8.0 or greater
  4. Hardware: tLP does not function on Macs (Apple) products, such as iPads or Mac computers.

I have tried the two options given above and I still cannot gain access / If you are still having issues logging into tLP, please call the Help Desk at 952.993.9000
Can I complete the e-Learning lessons on a MAC? / tLP is not supported on a MAC.
