  • Synthesis of new nano-catalysts and their applications in the organic synthesis.
  • Synthesis of new substituted tetrazoles.
  • Chemical and electrochemical synthesis of different heterocycles from the reaction between catechol derivatives with different bidentate nucleophiles.
  • Preparation of some novel thiophenetetracarboxylic acid monomers, their condensation polymerization with diamines to prepare the thermo stable polyamides and their characterization.
  • Preparation of new thiophene monomers and their polymerization in order to investigate their electrical conductivities.
  • Design and synthesis of some macrocyclic and macroacyclic ligands. These ligands are made of reactions between derivatives of pyrrole, thiophene, and furan with thiodimethanol, thiodiethanol, benzene and pyridine derivatives, and etc.
  • Preparation of new transition metal complexes of copper, silver, and gold with cysteamine, dimethylated cysteamine and other ligands in different conditions, their characterization, and investigation of some biological aspects, and their use as anti- tumor agents.
  • Synthesis of square planar complexes from different phenanthroline ligands and linear spacers.
  • Preparation of organo-gold compounds with pharmaceutical potential, and collaboration with the Paterson Institute (a joint research project with Professor R. V. Parish, chemistry department, UMIST, UK).
