Randall O. Perry

Mr. Perry is the CEO and founder of Interstate Risk Insurance Services, Inc. (IRIS).

IRIS was incorporated in October 2002 as a Surplus Lines Broker intent on designing, implementing and administering alternative risk financing insurance programs. IRIS is a subsidiary of Four Points Holdings.

Prior to starting IRIS, Mr. Perry was the founder and CEO of NorthStar Risk Management & Insurance Services, Inc. (NorthStar), which he incorporated in 1993. During his tenure, NorthStar was recognized by San Francisco business publications as the fourteenth fastest growing privately held company in Northern California. Mr. Perry was instrumental in the formation of the “Sterling Program”, led by the Beazley Syndicate (623) at Lloyd’s, which provides HO-3 Homeowners property protection and includes the availability of Earthquake coverage. NorthStar specialized in property and Transportation programs throughout the Western United States.

Mr. Perry came to NorthStar from Nationwide Insurance Company, where he was a Business Lines Agent and member of the Business Executive Council. As one of the top agents in The States, Mr. Perry was repeatedly recognized as a member of the Presidents Council. With a five year combined loss ratio of 42% Mr. Perry ran one of the most profitable agencies in the Nationwide System.

Prior to joining Nationwide, Mr. Perry served as Assistant Vice President in the Risk Management Division of Corroon & Black (now Willis). He was hired from Marsh to start up their Risk Management Division in San Francisco, in order to diversify their heavy construction presence. During his four years at Willis, Mr. Perry was in charge of program development and “wrap up” facilities.

Mr. Perry’s career began in 1978 as an Account Executive with Marsh & McLennan (now Marsh), in the Public Entity Division. Mr. Perry was responsible for constructing the property program for the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA), then the largest Joint Powers Authority (JPA) in the State of California. In addition, he put together the property program for the Association of California Hospital Districts (ACHD), a conglomerate of district hospitals.

A graduate of the University of Phoenix in Business Management, Mr. Perry continues to speak and teach on a variety of risk management issues throughout the community. Mr. Perry a native San Franciscan lives in the Bay Area.

His hobbies include Mountaineering. He has summited Kilimanjaro (Machame Route), Rainier and hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Piichu, and is looking forward to completing the Seven Summits. Mr. Perry is an expert skier, certified Scuba Diver, accomplished sailor, Fly Fisherman and golfer. He enjoys adventure travel and spending time with his son, now a senior at SMU, at the Cox Business School.
