Currently children aged three and four years of age are eligible to receive the NurseryEducation Free Entitlement from the term following their third birthday effective 1st January, 1st April and 1st September. Once your child is entitled to receive this at Jack In The Box they will move onto the fees shown above and marked *. The fees shown are after the free entitlement and therefore the amounts shown reflect the amounts to be paid on a monthly basis for additional hours over and above the free hours. To calculate the monthly fees for more than one am/pm session please times the figure shown by the number of sessions attended per week up to a maximum of 3 sessions.

Fees for funded children are calculated on an annual basis after the funded hours have been deducted. E.g. a full time child attends for up to 50 hours per week. For 38 weeks per year 35 hours are charged (and 15 hours are free) and for 13 weeks per year 50 hours are charged which equals 165 chargeable hours per month.

In line with guidance from Slough Borough Council Early Years the maximum number of hours of Nursery Education Free Entitlement that can be claimed for 38 weeks per year are;

1 day – 10 hours

1 day and one session – 15 hours

2 days and over – 15 hours

Where a child is receiving funding with two childcare providers or if your child’s attendance and funded hours are not shown exactly above please ask Lee Owenor Katie Baker for your monthly fees calculation.

The number of hours of Nursery Education Free Entitlement that are included will be shown on your invoice as a monthly total, number of funded hours per week x38 funded weeks and divided by 12, e.g. 15 hours per week = 47.5 hours per month.

We accept a strictly limited number of children on a ‘funded only’ basis. We give due consideration for each request and a waiting list for this attendance is kept. Children may attend as above for 38 weeks a year, term time only subject to availability. No charge will be made for this attendance.

The BHFT rate is for parents who are employees of Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust only. Where one or more parents in a family work for BHFT your child will be placed on the BHFT 1 or BHFT 2 fee rate according to the combined household income. Proof of employment will be required to be placed on a BHFT fee rate, this is a current payslip or for new employees who have not yet commenced employment, the contract of employment signed by both parties or a letter from your employer stating your start date and salary.

BHFT 1 has limited numbers and once proof of income has been provided parents will be placed on this rate on a first come, first served basis. If at any time BHFT 1 is full you will be placed on BHFT 2 and will remain on a waiting list to be placed on the lower rate.

The Allied Partner rate is for parents who are employed by any other NHS organisation, GPs and their staff, dentists and their staff, any police employee, any fire brigade employee, students training within the NHS but not actually employed by an NHS Trust, staff in schools, colleges and universities within a local borough in Berkshire (independent schools are not included) and employees of a local council within Berkshire.

To be placed on the Allied Partner rate proof of employment is required, this is a current payslip or for new employees who have not yet commenced employment, the contract of employment signed by both parties or a letter from your employer stating your start date.

Parents employed by any organisation not already listed will be placed on the NON NHS rate.

Fees are calculated on a monthly basis and the same fee is payable each month throughout the year. For full time attendance there is a monthly fee that is a reduction on the daily rate. For part time attendance the monthly fees is calculated as follows; daily/session rate times by number of days/sessions attended in a week times by 51 (weeks that the nursery is open for) and divided by twelve.

If a child joins or leaves the nursery part way through a month the fees will be calculated using the daily/session rate.

Fees reduce after a child’s second and third birthdays and for the purpose of this calculation birthdays that fall between the 1st-15th day of the month will reduce in that month and birthdays that fall between the 16th-31st day of the month will reduce in the following month.

A 10% sibling discount is available for the older child/ren if more than one child from the same family attends the nursery.
