CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

I have trained in various specialities of anaesthesia as junior & senior resident of Post graduate course at B. Y. L. Nair Hospital - Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai for three years followed by four years of lecturer post.

My training programme consisted of rotations in various specialities including General surgery, Obstetric & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, E. N. T., Ophthalmology and Dentistry.

Superspecialities like Cardiothoracic and Cath.lab., Neuroanaesthesia, Paediatric anaesthesia, Anaesthesia for Plastic & Urosurgery were also part of the training schedule.

I am also trained for management of difficult Airway during various Maxillofacial procedures.

My training also included anaesthesia for Airway Laser Surgeries.

REGIONAL ANAESTHESIA & PAIN RELIEF

I have been trained for and can successfully perform regional blocks such as Subarachnoid block, Single shot and continuous Epidural blocks, Brachial Plexus block, Penile block, Inguinal block, Femoral Nerve block, Sciatic Nerve block , Airway blocks etc.

OBSTETRIC ANAESTHESIA

I have managed various routine obstetric cases as well as complicated ones like pre-eclampsia and Eclampsia, antepartum and post partum haemorage etc. during my training and also gained experience in the field of Obstetric analgesia.

PAEDIATRIC ANAESTHESIA

My training in paediatric anaesthesia include management of various routine and emergency cases in various age groups ranging from neonate to elder children. I have also been managing

Paediatric laparoscopic cases under supervision of my seniors.

INTENSIVE CARE

I have successfully managed PACU (post anaesthesia care unit) and Trauma care units under supervision during my post graduate course. This also included critically ill patients and patients on ventilatory support.I have worked as Emergency anaesthetist in Trauma Operating Room.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am working as a lecturer in the Department of Anaesthesia, B. Y. L. Nair Hospital - Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai and my duties include,

·  managing various General & Superspeciality Theatres with Post graduate trainees under

supervision of senior Professors.

·  participating in organising various departmental academic meetings, symposia, quiz

programmes, Continuing Medical Education, MCQs etc.

Successfully carried out dissertition on "Post op. pain relief in lower abdominal surgeries:Comparison of Intrathecal Buprenorphine with Bupivacaine(H) Vs Intrathecal Midazolam and Buprenorphine with Bupivacaine(H)" under the able guidance of Dr. (Mrs.) A. R. Halbe , Associate Professor-Department of Anaesthesia, B. Y. L. Nair Hospital.
