DEGREES

Graduated Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from the University of New South Wales in 1966 having majored in Economic Statistics. Honours thesis was entitled 'Stochastic Linear Programming' and was graded as high distinction level.

In 1972, completed a PhD degree in Demography at the AustralianNationalUniversity with a thesis entitled 'Age at First Marriage and Proportions Marrying in Australia, 1860 - 1971'. The thesis was later published under the title, Marriage in Australia.
