Activities Performed:Very successfully completed a Mission on Rural and Natural Resources Statistics (Agricultural Statistics) of Food & Agricultural Organization (FAO) of United Nations in Thimpu, Bhutan as International Consultant, Strategic Planning in Agricultural Statistics during the period from 17.06.2016 to 03.07.2016.
The important Tasks performed were the following:
(a) Undertaken field visits to selected farms to enable an appreciation of the agricultural system in Bhutan and document findings.
(b) Assisted with preparations for a technical workshop on Renewable Natural Resources (RNR) census and survey planning.

Worked as the Techno-administrative Regional Head of the Office to look after all technical and administrative matters of the Regional Office to conduct field work in data collection and validation of various statistical surveys like NSS Socio-economic Surveys as Round on annual basis in Socio-economic Sector, Annual Survey of industries (ASI) on annual basis in Industrial sector, Area Enumeration Survey and Crop-cutting Experiments on annual basis in Agricultural sector. Besides I was responsible for field work in data collection and validation on Consumer Price Index (Urban) on annual basis in Urban Price Sector, Rural Price Collection (RPC) on annual basis in Rural Price Sector, International Comparison of Price (ICP) on annual basis in International Price Sector and also on many other schemes as and when required basis. As Director-Professor and Head of the Department of Statistics my primary responsibility was to ensure that the Statistics Department functioned efficiently and was fully geared up to take up the responsibilities of teaching, research, projects and other activities assigned to it. I was very effectively engaged in monitoring and evaluation of various Health Programmes through the on-line analytical studies of HMIS data on regular and continuous basis. Since the Department had several vacancies in the ISS and the SSS, all the existing faculty members were required to share added responsibilities to ensure that the primary activities of the Department do not suffer. Worked as techno-administrative head of the department as a Faculty Member. Rendered lot of techno-administrative help, guidance and consultation to the Institute administration on various techno-administrative issues with the direct involvement on those issues.
