David Sharpe

KEY EXPERIENCE:

David Sharpe is aSupply Chain professional who combines operations, business strategy, change management and IT programme implementation.

He joined Bass as a graduate trainee, and spent 7 years in line management positions in distribution where he was also responsible for designing and implementing new computer systems to support distribution operations. In consultancy, he has worked widely in the retail and consumer products industries in supply chain management, logistics strategy, systems and store operations. He also has a depth of experience in logistics strategy and operations improvement for consumer products companies gained in Europe and Australasia. David spent 2 years in Australia setting up and leading the supply chain management consultancy practice. He returned to Europe to become Director of a European ECR project. David was a Senior Executive in Accenture’s Retail Practice, where he ledthe supply chain capability. He specialises in retail supply chain management and the management of major business transformation programmes. David now operates as an independent consultant and lecturer at the University of Warwick.
