Alsager School is proud of it’s traditions of caring for pupils and helping them to take their first steps in the community. Our staff are dedicated to helping all pupils realise their potential. The PE department is no exception; we have an excellent tradition of inspiring our students to academic and sporting excellence. We strive to ensure that the best teaching strategies are used to support and challenge our pupils appropriately. Our passion for extra curricular achievement is second to none. Most importantly we could be described as a ‘restless’ team in that we never assume our work is done. We continually look to improve our practice and the opportunities we provide for our pupils.
If you were to be successful in your application you would need to be able to hold your own in lively department meetings, you would need to be forward thinking and have the ability to positively challenge your team and our students. In your letter of application we would like you to highlight the ways you feel you could do this to demonstrate how you could take an already strong department from ‘good’ to ‘outstanding’.
The closing date is Tuesday 24th September at 12 noon. Interviews are likely to be held during the following week. Accordingly, if you have not heard from us by the end of September, please assume that your application has not been successful, but thank you again for your interest in Alsager School.
