Competences:

During my degree on Physics besides the standard courses I attend the courses on :

Optics, Physics of Low Temperatures, Laboratory for the Physics of Matter, Superior Physics (Quantum Physics, NonLinear Systems), Electronics’ Laboratory.

The courses I attend for the Specialization school are:

Laboratory of Optics I, General Optics, Technique and application of Lasers, Infrared techniques, Quantum Optics, Optical Fibers, Laboratory of Optics II, Optoelectronic systems.

I have knowledge of the main operative systems (Windows and Linux) and its main programs for :

Office Automation (MS Office, Open Office, etc.); e-mail (Outlook, Eudora, Pine, Elm, etc.); Data elaboration (Origin, Xmgrage,etc.)

I have experience of programming in Fortran, C, Matlab and other mathematic software for numerical calculation and data analysis. I also know how to program in LabView for automatic data acquisition routines.

I have good knowledge of Spanish and French and basic knowledge of English and German.

Didactic activity:

I participate at the graduation thesis on physics at the University of Florence of the student David Cinotti in 2002.

Scientific and work activity:

·  Graduation thesis at the Istituto Nazionale di Ottica from April 1999 to April 2000; parallel to the experimental work of the thesis [A], I participate to experiments for the characterization of chaotic dynamics in a CO2 laser with large Fresnell number. [1,2].

·  Scientific collaboration with the Istituto Nazionale di Ottica from April 2000 a September 2000 for the study of synchronization problems in a Chaotic CO2 laser [3].

·  Pre-Doc Fellowship at the Istituto Nazionale di Ottica Applicata in the framework of the European project "Control, Synchronization and Characterization of Spatially Extended Nonlinear Systems" (HPRN-CT-2000-00158) from September 2000 to September 2003.

- I participate at the preparation of the project Azione Integrata Italia-Spagna “Sincronizzazione e controllo in sistemi ottici nonlineari” approved for the years 2002-2003 (IT853), and the Azione Integrata Italia-Spagna “Controllo e Sincronizzazione di Dinamiche Laser e Sistemi Spazialmente Estesi” approved for the years 2004-2005 (IT1348).

·  Three years collaboration with the University of Florence in the framework of the Italian Project “Science and Technology in the society of Knowledge: Economics and Complexity” from September 2003.

- Guest researcher at the University Rey Juan Carlos, Mostoles (Spain), January 2004.

My activity has been focused mainly on studies of nonlinear dynamics in optics. I can divide my activity in three principal arguments:

Control and synchronization of chaos.

Modes for the nonlinear dynamics in isotropic lasers.

Optics measurements in the infrared.
