Justification: / All of the proposed courses have the exact same syllabus and requirements. There is no reason for an activity course such as this to be upper-division, especially since the upper-division courses do not have lower-division prerequisites. Students will take these courses in random order. Recommend to Curriculum Committee to eliminate the confusing duplication and erroneous upper-division classification of these courses by creating 1 Military Fitness course repeatable up to 8 credits, just as we have with Fitness Center. We have no other upper-division activity courses.

*Technical Review Notes:

.There was a great deal of confusion about the MILS Military Fitness courses approved at the last Curriculum Committee meeting. I have diligently tried to discuss the confusion with Philip Lee and Major Williams, but we were unable to do so because of their schedules over Spring Break. It makes no sense to create a confusing structure of 8 courses that all have the exact same syllabus and requirements. I have checked with various offices, and students will be allowed to repeat this course, just as they can repeat Fitness Center and Intercollegiate Athletics courses, even if they are receive financial aid.
