CURRENT CAPITAL WORKS PLAN AND INFRASTRUCTURE RENEWAL PROJECTS
The Shire of Dandaragan continues to progress its annual Capital Works Plan and infrastructure renewal projects.
Summer time presents the optimum time for these projects to be constructed due to favourable weather conditions.
Unfortunately this also coincides with peak tourist season however appropriate safety measures and traffic management will be in place at each project location.
The Shire appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as we continue to upgrade and renew vital infrastructure within our communities.
Road Projects
Town Street Upgrades
Bayliss Street Jurien Bay - January 2017.
Traffic Management will be in place. Resurfacing with ashphalt. Long vehicle parking and footpath
Carmella Street Jurien Bay - February – March 2017
Indian Ocean Dve to Boulanger Way- Pavement recondition and asphalt, and drainage improvements
Murray Street Jurien Bay - February – March 2017
Pavement recondition and asphalt, and drainage improvements
Seville Street Cervantes - February – March 2017
Valencia Road to Segovia Street - Pavement recondition and asphalt
Rural Road Renewal
Jurien East Road - January to March 2017
Brand Hwy to Nylagarda Road (7km) - Widening and reseal. Traffic management will be in place
Mimegarra Road - Final Seal – January 2017. Drainage and final clean up – March 2016
Dandaragan Road - Final Seal – January 2017
Jurien Bay Projects
Jurien Bay Sewerage Stage Expansion Works
Cook Street works - Recommence January 2017. Traffic management will be in place. Includes works in laneway near Liquor Store and Motel.
Bashford Street works - Completed December 2016. Further reinstatement to take place. Dust suppression is ongoing
Jurien Bay Oval Renovation
Renovations took place November 2016. Oval currently closed to public whilst grass regrows. Shire undertaking ongoing mowing and associated renovation works.
Jurien Bay Foreshore Redevelopment
Turf - installed November 2016. Shire staff continuing to monitor and maintain until suitable for foot traffic. Mowing to commence January 2017
Hard stand areas - Street Furniture to be installed January 2017. Hardstand to be completed post street furniture installation
Dual Use Paths - Primer Seal laid December 2016. Awaiting asphalt in late January 2017
Cook Street Car Park - Pavement construction and seal with asphalt January 2017. Traffic Management in place whilst works underway. Estimated Opening – March 2017
