CSSC North West Region
NW Volunteer of the Year Award
Purpose
The Award recognises the member who has made an outstanding contribution in a single year, this year being 2015; taking into account both their input and impact on the organisation.
Background
CSSC recognises volunteer commitment both nationally and regionally. Throughout CSSC there are hundreds of people who happily give up their time to help make CSSC activity happen. Without them CSSC couldn't begin to offer as much as it does for its members. A national Volunteer of the Year Award recognises an outstanding contribution to CSSC and this regional award recognises efforts specifically by members in the North West region.
Very few of these people expect recognition, but one thing is for sure, they certainly deserve it.
Making a Nomination
In considering someone for a NW Volunteer of the Year nomination, the following might help. Does the individual:-
Make a Difference in the Region?
Lead activity within a local Area Association or club?
Provide great opportunities through a CSSC Regional, National or local body?
Help members keep active through a CSSC Workplace Health & Fitness centre?
Organise sport or leisure activities in an office or department?
The focus when judging nominations will be weighted towards individuals participating / involvement with, or on behalf of CSSC activities, groups or members.
Anyone may submit a nomination however all nominees must be CSSC members.
The nomination should contain
· the details of the person being nominated,
· a few bullets on why the person you are nominating should be considered and of course your contact details.
· The nominee must be aware of and consent to the nomination, including use of the text and any photos provided in support of the nomination.
· Both Nominator & Nominee agree that the NW Region may submit the nomination for the CSSC national award.
· The award will presented at a special dinner held in November and the winner will be asked in advance to attend this event
