  • Reading/Writing – Stacey Gomez-Downs
  • Mrs. Stacey Gomez-Downs is leaving for a district position and we will introduce the new literacy coach, Anita Parsontan, at the first SAC meeting of the 2016/17 school year.
  • Math – Melissa Nichols
  • Testing is completed.
  • Practice websites will be available for students to study over the summer.
  • Science – Lori Muniz/ Fabian Calero
  • EOC’s are completed.
  • Aptitude program: 2 CSHS students are involved in this program. We have one junior half way through the program and a senior completing the program. We would like to have more sophomore students involved in this STEM project based program. It is an opportunity for college credit and a great learning opportunity.
  • Differentiated Accountability – Principal Leon-Leigh
  • Broward College (BC) program integrating engineering and construction is in the works.
  • Coconut Creek High School is starting a magnet program and we are unsure if it will affect enrollment at CSHS.
  • Scott Ceoute received an award for outstanding attendance from grade K-12. Congrats!
  • Students will not be allowed to bring bags starting next Tuesday for safety purposes.
  • Five students from debate will be going to Nationals.
  • A student was rated in the top 6 cadets.
  • Three of our coaches were namedcoaches of the year.
  • 2 students received the Distinguished Unit Award by the school’s AFROTC.
