IV.COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Students will learn step-by-step the key techniques for working in Adobe Illustrator. They will build a foundation of creating vector graphics for logos, illustrations, posters, etc. They will learn the basics of the Illustrator drawing and editing tools and being able to export their designs into a variety of formats.

V.GRADING

Students are required to take the Adobe Certified Associate exam in Illustrator.

A = 90 – 100

B = 80 – 89

C = 70 – 79

D = 60 – 69

F = 0 – 59

VII.COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to design, compose, edit and produce digital graphics for a variety of uses.

  1. Utilize the interface and tools of industry standard vector graphics editing software.
  2. Create vector graphics using drawing tools with industry standard tools
  3. Edit vector graphics using industry standard hardware and software
  4. Perform advanced editing techniques with vector graphics
  5. Integrate vector graphics with other applications
  6. Integrate vector graphics with other applications
  7. Sit for the ACA Exam Final

VIII.COURSE METHODOLOGY:

Students will be working with hands on projects in Adobe Illustrator Creative Cloud. Students will take the GMetrix practice exams throughout the semester and then take the Adobe Certified Associate exam in Illustrator.

XI.EVALUATION:

Students will complete multiple exercises in Adobe Illustrator Creative Cloud.

Other assignments and exercises may be assigned at the discretion of the instructor.

Students will take the ACA exam as the final exam for this course.

XII.SPECIFIC MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Assignments will be evaluated according to instructor directives.
