Cross Sectoral Group

One of the structures that was identified to provide accountability mechanisms and to support the implementation of Healthy Ireland is a high level Cross Sectoral Group. The group is representative of the stakeholders involved in the implementation of Healthy Ireland and will provide strategic direction and monitor progress.)

Terms of Reference for the Group:

  1. The Group will support the implementation of the Healthy Ireland Framework
  2. The Group will assist in providing accountability mechanisms in respect of Healthy Ireland.
  3. The Group will facilitate the identification of relevant expertise in various sectors to participate in working groups and to deliver on specific actions.
  4. The Group will prepare an intersectoral plan which will address the goals and the broader determinants of Healthy Ireland.
  5. The Group will seek to realign and reprioritise the priorities and resources of their organisation in support of the intersectoral plan and will create synergies to achieve these outcomes.
