The Crop and Weed Science Society (CWSS) is an organization of scientists, teachers, students, farmers, corporates and other persons/organizations willing to participate in the development of agriculture and allied fields. Since its inception, the CWSS is engaged in the betterment of agriculture and allied sectors. Main activities of the society encompasses promoting agricultural research and technologies through publications, demonstrations, dissemination of technologies through training programme, organization of awareness programme, recognizing commendable works in the field of agriculture and allied sectors through different awards etc. As a result, the society is gaining popularity day by day as evident from its membership details given below and the circulation of its publications, the Journal of Crop and Weed (ISSN Print: 0974 6315 Online: 2349 9400) and the Crop and Weed Science News, in different parts of the world.
We welcome and request each and every one, interested in the above goal of the society, to become member of the society in the form of individual member / institutional member / corporate member etc. and enrich it in achieving its goal.

The biannual journal entitled, “Journal of Crop and Weed” Volume I, 2, 3 4 and 5 have already been released. Journal indexing at CAB International since its first issue. Journal is accepted by ICAR. Since Volume 4, No 2 issue the journal is published with ISSN 0974 6315.Volume 6 No1 is being released during the biennial conference of the society on 11th June 2010.
The West Bengal Weed Science News – 2004, The Directory of West Bengal Weed Science Society 2004-05, Crop and Weed Science News -2006, 2007 and 2008, 2009,2010,2011,2012,2013,2014,2015& a special volume of Crop and Weed Science News – 2006 have already been published.
