Meeting Minutes 12/11/17 – Monthly Meeting

Accept Annual Meeting Minutes – Motion byShawn Gallagher, 2nd by Gene Chiappetta

Officer Reports

  1. Financial Report –Brian Hickey reported that the expenses from the Still Hill fundraiser have come in. There is currently $21,444 in the bank. The league charter fees still need to be paid.
  2. Information – Shawn Gallagher reported that he has made several updates to the website to include division descriptions, new tabs for local rules, league documents, and volunteer information. The softball age groups need to be fixed. On-line registration is open.
  1. Marketing –Jim Vinchetti introduced Chris Crawford to the board. Chris has 3 businesses ready to be sponsors. There will be different tiers of sponsorships this year, with an emphasis on businesses sponsoring teams.
  1. Equipment – Nothing to report at this time.
  2. Safety –Carl Potenza reported that hewill be working with Eric Stearns to complete the safety manual.
  1. Legal - Nothing to report at this time.
  1. District 9 – Nothing to report at this time.
  1. Fields – Nothing to report at this time.
  1. Auxiliary – Nothing to report at this time.

Committee Reports

  1. Rules – Nothing to report at this time.
  1. Marketing/Fundraising – Nothing to report at this time.
  1. Projects–Nothing to report at this time.

  1. Disciplinary - Nothing to report at this time.

New Business

  1. WIS Scoreboard – Jim Vinchetti reported that little league is ready to disburse the funds from the grant. Jim reported that there may also be some extra money that can be used for softball batting cages.
  1. Henderson Lights – Jim Vinchetti reported that the financing for the lights is still in place and that the league will wait until the spring to re-assess the funds for the lights.

Other Business

  1. There is still a need for a VP for Tball Softball
  1. Winter workouts for the minors will begin January 7th at the high school. This will run for 8 weeks.
  1. Rich Masiello is working on a softball clinic at Advanced. This will begin on January 21st and will run for 5 weeks. Majors and minors softball coaches are encouraged to attend.
  1. There will be a bat and shoe day at Advanced on January 6th.
