Crime Watch Report continued from May 27th through June 3rd, 2010

CASE #10-1931 BURGLARYOn Thursday, May 27th, 2010, Sgt. Turner responded to a residence on Dogtown Road, near Kingwood, in regards to a burglary complaint. Several items were stolen. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-1939 LARCENYOn Saturday, May 29, 2010, Deputy Mitter responded to the Fellowsville area in regards to a larceny complaint. A male subject was observed taking fuel from the Department of Highway vehicles from the Fellowsville garage on Rt. 50. The Preston County Sheriff's office is requesting that any person who may have observed vehicles parked at or leaving the DOH Garage during the evening hours of Friday, May 28, 2010, into the morning of Saturday, May 29, 2010. The subjects made multiple trips to take the fuel, which was loaded into 50 gallon drums, so its possible someone may have observed a vehicle leaving the garage with the fuel. CASE #10-1940 BURGLARYOn Saturday, May 29, 2010, Deputy Palmer responded to the Bruceton Mills area in regards to a burglary complaint. A door was damaged and glass broken. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-1944 FRAUD On Saturday, May 29, 2010, Deputy S. Mitter received a call from a resident of St. Joe Road, near Kingwood, who stated that money had been taken from her bank account. A possible suspect was mentioned.

CASE #10-1969 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Monday, May 31, 2010, Deputy S. Mitter responded to the Newburg area in regards to a Destruction of Property complaint. An object had been thrown at a traveling vehicle breaking the windshield.

CASE #10-2012 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Tuesday, June 1st, 2010, Sgt. Turner received a call from a resident of Corinth, near Terra Alta, who stated that her fence had been damaged by an unknown vehicle. Anyone who may have witnessed this is asked to contact Sgt. Turner.

CASE #10-1988 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Wednesday, June 2, 2010, Deputy Sinclair responded to the Pleasantdale area, near Kingwood, in regards to a destruction of property complaint. The back window of the complainants vehicle had been shattered. Anyone who may have witnessed this is asked to contact Deputy Sinclair.

CASE #10-1995 LARCENYOn Wednesday, June 2, 2010, Deputy Rodeheaver responded to the Masontown area in regards to a larceny complaint. The complainant stated that prescription medications had been stolen from her home.

CASE #10-2005 BURGLARYOn Wednesday, June 2, 2010, Deputy Sinclair responded to a residence on Beulah Drive, near Kingwood, in regards to a burglary complaint. Several items were stolen from his home. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-1996 LARCENYOn Wednesday, June 2, 2010, Cpl Root received a call from a resident of Terra Alta who stated that a bicycle had been stolen from her apartment. Chief Childers of the Terra Alta Police Department was contacted and will be following up on this investigation.

CASE #10-1997 TRESPASSINGOn Wednesday, June 2, 2010, Cpl Root responded to the Fortney’s Mill area, near Newburg, in regards to a trespassing complaint. Cpl Root removed approximately ten (10) trespassers from the area. The Preston County Sheriff’s Department has been patrolling this area in hopes to clear the area of potential trespassers.

CASE #10-2004 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Thursday, June 3rd, 2010, Deputy S. Mitter responded to the Rowlesburg in regards to a Destruction of Property complaint. The windshield had been broken out of the complainant’s vehicle. A suspect was mentioned.

CASE #10-2013 LARCENYOn Thursday, June 3rd, 2010, DFC Tichnell received a call from a resident of Bruceton Mills who stated that the license plate had been stolen off of her vehicle.

CASE #10-2015 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Thursday, June 3rd, 2010, DFC Tichnell received a call from a resident of Aurora who stated that her mailbox had been vandalized and an alcoholic beverage bottle was laying next to it.
