Crime Watch Report for December 23, 2012 through January 4, 2013

CASE # 12-4494 LARCENY On Sunday, December 23, 2012, Deputy McNair received a call from a resident of Green Valley Road, near Rowlesburg, in regards to a larceny complaint. The victim had a license plate stolen from his vehicle. License plate number 1JR230.

CASE # 12-4506 BREAKING AND ENTERING On Monday, December 24, 2012, Deputy McNair responded to a breaking and entering complaint on Dogtown Road, near Reedsville. The victim’s garage had been broken into and the subject attempted to steal an air compressor. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 12-4604 BURGLARY On Saturday, December 29, 2012, Deputy Sinclair received a call from a resident of Cranesville, near Terra Alta, in regards to a burglary complaint. A residence was entered and a safe was tampered with. Any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy Sinclair.

CASE # 12-4605 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Sunday, December 30, 2012, Deputy Sinclair received a call from a resident of Morgan Street, in Kingwood, who reported that a sign in his front yard had been damaged. Any witnesses are asked to contact DFC Sinclair.

CASE #13-0016 LARCENY On Wednesday, January 2, 2013, Deputy Sinclair received a call from a resident of Shatzer Road, near Albright, in regards to a larceny complaint. The victim stated that a Smith and Wesson .357 revolver and a debit card had been stolen from his residence. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 13-0019 LARCENY On Wednesday, January 2, 2013, Deputy Martin received a call from a resident of Bretz who reported that a generator had been stolen from his property. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 13-0021 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Thursday, January 3, 2013, Deputy Dotson received a call from a resident of Rohr Road, near Masontown, who stated that her mailbox had been damaged.

** The West Virginia State Police is investigating a crime in which approximately 7 to 10 vehicles were entered and items were stolen. The incident occurred Sunday evening into the early morning hours of Monday, January 07, 2013. They believe the suspect parked his vehicle at the Hopewell Church and walked to these various vehicles along Old Route 73, just outside of Bruceton Mills. Miscellaneous items, including loose change and firearms were stolen from these vehicles. Anyone with ANY information is asked to contact the WVSP at 329-1101.**
