Creative Learning and Lyceum Youth Theatre, Tutors and Assistants.

The Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh has one of the Scotland’s leading Creative Learning Departments which is looking to expand its portfolio of freelance drama tutors and assistants. Successful candidates will be considered for upcoming opportunities within our busy Creative Learning Department including the Lyceum Youth Theatre (LYT).

The current age groups that LYT engages with are as follows:

  • 5-7 years
  • 8-10 years
  • 11-13 years
  • 14-18 years

As well as offering sessions within our dedicated Creative Learning Space we also work in community venues in areas of deprivation across Edinburgh we would be particularly interested in hearing from facilitators with experience working in these areas.

We also deliver numerous primary and secondary schools workshops to compliment the theatre company’s annual season of work. These sessions happen all over Central Scotland and we are interested to hear from artists who have relevant experience and wish to work in an education setting.

We offer a competitive hourly rate for freelancers. This is not a fixed post but an opportunity to be considered for freelance opportunities. This is an ongoing recruitment opportunity, but due to promotion of staff we do have some work available early in 2016.

Please apply in writing detailing the age group/s or type/s of work you are interested in with, a CV, brief letter of application and 2 referees to:
