INVITATION TO THECREATIVE ARTS THERAPIES SYMPOSIUM
March 19, 2016-University Concordia
This year, Quebec art therapists are uniting under the theme of “How does Creative Expression Promote Well-being?” This theme fully evokes the needs of the body, spirit and heart. Experiencing, tasting and feeling one’s well-being will occur in a creative space where gestures, movements, sounds, colours and words meet and come to life. Art therapists in Quebec use an artistic and therapeutic approach to bring out the full potential of individuals or groups. It is in this context that l’Association des art-thérapeutes du Québec (AATQ), l’Association québécoise de musicothérapie (AQM), l’Association de dramathérapie (NADT) and l’Association de thérapie par la danse et le mouvement (ATDM) is organizing a symposium on art therapy on March 19, 2016 at the Concordia Atrium.

Registration: 25.00$ for community group; 50.00$ for association and the universities.To get an exhibit table (one table per group), you must register by filling out the attached form and returning it by March 7, 2016.REGISTER WITHOUT DELAY, PLACES ARE LIMITED.
Setting up information tables
The table surface is 3 feet x 6 feet. There will be 2 to 3 chairs per table. Please bring everything you might need such as tablecloths, promotional material, cardboard backing, business cards, easels, photocopies of articles, etc. The tables will be set up as of 8:30 a.m. on March 19, 2016.
Presenting an activity or artistic performance
In addition to distributing your pamphlet and promoting your mission and services, we invite you to present a 30 to 40-minute activity or artistic performance introducing art therapy to the public. We recommend creative activities that are fun and interactive. Each modalitywillbeone or twoperformances ordemonstrationsin the day.We reserve theright to selectand make sure thateach modalityis represented. On the attached form, we ask that you briefly describe your activity or artistic performance.
Promotions
We do have some promotional posters printed this year. You will, however, need to print and distribute the posters (available on the associations’websites), and use your own professional and social networks (Facebook, Twitter, email, your websites, etc.). Each organization or exhibitor must advertise to its associations, client base, members and the public at large.
