CRASH n RECOVERY

Crash n Recovery is a new hot Country/Folk band from the deep woods of northern Sweden. Their original music has been played on thousands of radio stations in the US, Australia, Canada and Europe and the single "Anna Lee" made it to# 12 on the European Country ChartTop 40 in the spring of 2013 and stayed on the chart for ten whole weeks. ALL 13 songs from the album "Post the storm" have been played on air.

The band came together in 2012 and since then, they've released the EP "The Word" (2012-03-30) and the popular album "Post the storm"(2012-11-02), both containing exclusively their own material.

When it comes to their praised sound, Crash n Recovery create a perfect fusion of traditional country music, contemporary americana and folk music. To stay connected to their own roots, their Scandinavian heritage is also thrown into the mix, contributing to their signature sound. It's familiar and fresh at the same time!

Since the band like to keep it raw n real they only use acoustic instruments on stage; contra bass, banjo, acoustic guitars, fiddle, mandolin, accordion and drums. Sometimes a bit of Pedal Steel sneaks into the songs as well.

Throughout the summer of 2012 and 2013 the band has been touring in Scandinavia playing at major Festivals. They've been sharing stages with artists such as Leann Rimes, Buffy Sainte Marie, The Kilkenny's, Tupelo, Bruce Guthro, Oysterband, Folk the recession, Music Road Pilots,Hicks, Harold Hawkins Jr and many, many more. In the summer of 2014 they will do a more extensive tour in Europe. Also, in February 2014 Crash n Recovery will be releasing their new single "Minefield which is predicted to be bigger than their other hits combined and their second album will be released in the fall of 2014.

REVIEWS

"One of the few things, I've learnt about American hillbilly music is, that the genre more than any other is completely depending on, that the songs and the interpretation of them, comes straight from the heart. And Linda Engstrom and her highly talented band really proved that, they've got country (music) under their skin....the songs are catchy and they are delivered charmingly, credibly and remains true to the genre. Linda Engstrom sings dazzling, she knows her country phrasings and appeared, in all her blonde exuberance as a Scandinavian version of Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline put together.."
