I would like to apply for the Electrical Leading Hand role recently advertised at Carters Electrical. I have a solid Electrical background spanning across 9 years combined with current working knowledge of the Electrical / Electronic Maintenance gainedfrom my current role as Shift Team Leader, at Carters Electrical, Jubilee Hwy. I am committed to building a career within the electrical field. I am seeking this opportunity for advancement and career progression within Carters Electrical. I am a self-motivated, reliable and hardworking individual with the drive, commitment and ambition to succeed in this role.

I have particular skills and expertise in break down, fault finding, trouble shooting, installation, maintenance and instrumentation. In my current role I perform a hands on role in terms of inspections, regular testing and undertaking of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance including any work required as part of a planned and preventative maintenance program. I am competent in servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning & testing machines, devices and other electrical equipment with advanced fault finding skills and experience within the sawmill environment and production equipment. I am practised in plant isolation and lock out procedures with high regard for workplace safety. I have an excellent safety record and have good understanding and applied knowledge of Occupational Health Safety and Welfare act in relation to Electrical Safety combined with site operating procedures.

Further to my SA Electrical Workers Licence I have completed advanced Electrical studies including; Instrumentation, PLC and Variable Speed Drives together with the Carters Electrical Team Leader Development Workshop. I have completed these studies as part of my professional development and skills enhancement plan and desire to progress in the Electrical field.

My experiences in industrial PLC and microprocessor control systems have been gained from my current role providing me with a sound knowledge and understanding of current working processes and systems within the site.

Throughout all working roles I have demonstrated the capacity to work successfully within a team environment contributing to the achievement of organisational objectives. I also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I am able work effectively with plant operators, team members, contractors and management.
