Subject: Ballot for IEEE 802.11b-1999/cor1-200x, "Corrigendum to Supplement for PHY extension in the 2.45 GHz band" MIB experts are kindly requested to participate!

Dear LMSC Ballot Pool Member,

You are invited to participate in the Sponsor Ballot of P802.11b-1999/cor1, the corrigendum to Management Information Base (MIB) of IEEE Std 802.11b-1999.

NOTE:This ballot will be conducted ONLY by electronic means. The draft will be posted on the web in Adobe Acrobat "pdf" format. IEEE Balloting Service will not distribute paper copies of the draft.
To participate in this ballot, access to the WWW and a valid e-mail address is REQUIRED.

Ballot and comment submission will be by fill-in forms on the Web. The draft for review, and the relevant parts of the base standards that the corrigendum apply to will be posted on the password protected IEEE site on the Web for you to review. The address is: To review those, you may need access to the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be obtained free of charge from

The draft P802.11b-cor1 PDF file is approximately 38 kBytes; the document is about 7 pages long. The PDF files of the MIB of the referenced standard is about 150 kBytes and the size is approximately 45 pages.

Please indicate your current e-mail address on the back of the ballot group invitation form in addition to filling out the information requested on the front of the form. Also, please note that IEEE Standards Association (SA) membership is now a requirement for balloting on IEEE Standards. If you are both an IEEE member and an SA member, your SA membership number is the same as your IEEE membership number.

We will send you an e-mail when the ballot pool is formed to validate your e-mail address. You must reply to this message to actually finalize your membership in the ballot pool. An out-of-the-office automatic e-mail reply is sufficient.

When the ballot opens the IEEE Ballot Service will send an e-mail with instructions for downloading the draft, opening and closing dates, and the web address for balloting and comments.
