2. Course Description
The course is sub-divided into statics and dynamics. The course is structured to acquint students with all the principles necessary to examine the responses of bodies to external forces. The course bridges the gap between physicl theory and its application to technology.
3. Course Objectives/Learning Outcome
Upon completion of the course, students should:
Ø  Understand the terms Statics and Dynamics;
Ø  Understand and be able to apply the Newton’s law motion;
Ø  Understand how to analyze forces acting on bodies;
Ø  Understand the use vectors in representing of forces; and
Ø  Understand the concepts of work, momentum and relative motion;
