Expectations/Class rules: I expect that all students will:

1.  Follow all school rules as stated in the student-parent handbook.

2.  Follow the class routines and become an active, independent, responsible learner.

3.  Follow the five rules is this classroom;

·  Be here on time.

·  Come prepared to learn. Math work should be done in pencil.

·  Honestly do your assignment to the best of your ability.

·  Respect the learning environment of everyone else in this class.

·  Leave distractions at home-cell phones, music players, handheld games, etc.

Absences/Make-Up Work: As stated in the student handbook, students who are absent are responsible for getting and doing any missed work. On return from absence, prior to the start of class, the student should get any missed assignments from the posted calendar and make arrangements to go over any missed work with the instructor. The student will have as many days as s/he was absent to make up the work; arrangements should be made with the teacher for making up any missed quizzes or tests. Making up work for any longer term absences should be set up in consultation with the teacher.

Late work: Late work beyond absent work will not be accepted. Work must be completed on time in order to take full advantage of the learning/instruction that takes place in the classroom. Please see me for extenuating circumstances.

Need extra help? I am available most days after school. If you are putting forth effort in class, I will be happy to assist you with extra help before or after the regular school day. However, don't wait until the day before a test or quiz to suddenly expect to learn everything. Be PROACTIVE!
