Men’s Game of the Week – Showtime vs. Xmen (A League)
In a week of close games, the final game of the evening was one of the best as the Showtime looked to pick up their first win of the season against the powerful mutant Xmen. The game was close throughout and an extra session was needed. The Showtime pulled out the win at the end 40 to 39 in overtime. G. Wilson scored 15 for the Showtime and Moyer added 13. For the X-men Julien had 14 and Edmund had 10. G. Wilson said after the game, “It would not have been that close, except we were totally thrown off by Dunfee’s shocking, yet long anticipated haircut”.
Ladies Game of the Week – Thunder vs. Grippers
The Thunder looked to move to 2-0 on the season against the Grippers. Even though the Grippers were missing some of their big guns, they hung tough for most of the game but eventually wore down and suffered a 49 to 43 loss. J.A. Smith had 24 points for the Thunder. For the Grippers, Larson had a fantastic game with 25 points.
Legend of the Week –Tyson(HoundDogs)
Tyson continued his strong start by pouring in 20 points on near perfect shooting to lead the HoundDogs to their 2nd straight win, 50 to 42 over the Hoosiers. Tyson has proven to be a scoring machine this season by hitting baskets from all over the court.

Other Stars in No Particular Order:
1)Little(Maximus) –There was nothing little about Little’s performance against the Thangs as he went off for 25 points and made the Thangs look really, really bad. Team Maximus ended up defeating the Thangs, 49 to 29.
2)Sharman(Mantua) – Sharman had a great game, finishing with 21 points as the Mantua took care of the Raiders 75 to 73.
3)Matthews (Raiders) – Matthews had a fantastic game for the Raiders finishing with 34 in a tough two-point loss.
Ladies Legend of the Week – J.A. Smith (Thunder)
See above. Early candidate for Ladies MVP?

1)Larson(Grippers) – See above. A valiant effort by Larson is what kept the Grippers in the game against the Thunder.
2)Tag Team of Johnson and Stubbs(Lightning) –In the always exciting Lightning vs. Wolves matchup, Johnson and Stubbs led the way with 24 and 21 points, respectively as the Lightning defeated the Wolves 49 to 37. When both these two players get hot, look out – can anyone stop them?!
Highlights
Zephyrs / The Zephyrs took care of team CACI winning 63 to 53 as Beeman had 18 and Chow had 13.CACI / Unidentified player #3 had 15 points and #23 had 14 points for team CACI in the loss.
Maximus / See above. Team Maximus put a beat-down on the Thangs from the start in the dominating win.
Thangs / The Thangs learned a valuable lesson in their game. When your team, like most teams in the league have a combined age of roughly 1000 years, DO NOT play for another team in a game before your game. You’re not 15 anymore!
HoundDogs / See above.
Hoosiers / Like Butler, there was no perfect Hoosiers ending as the Hoosiers fell 50 to 42. Tutterow did have 14 and Robinson had 9 for the Hoosiers.
Khanmen / The Khanmen destroyed the Inferno 71 to 48. Khan actually had a decent game offensively with 21 points though he still refuses to play any defense. Koshuta chipped in with 14 as well.
Bad rap from Mr. Thang? You decide!
Inferno / Sarvis had 12 while Lilienthal and El-Sayed each had 11 in the loss.
WestCoasters / The warm weather suited the hippies from the West Coast well as the WestCoasters defeated the Jackals 46 to 37. Pasquale had 15 and Teller had 8 in the win.
Jackals / In defeat, Fisher had 18 and Goff added 11.
Blades / The Blades moved to 2-0 on the season by barely defeating the Money 46 to 44 as Hale had 12 and Melton added 11.
Money / The Money were led by Blendell and Peyrebrune who had 15 and 12 respectively.
LittleLeaguers / The LittleLeaguers handed the Spartans their second straight loss, defeating them 58 to 56. Crowder had a great game with 18 and Stanos had a nice game as well with 17.
Spartans / 1 day after their namesake got bounced in the final four, the Spartans fell short as well. Evans did have a nice game with 18 points.
Elders / The Elders continued their winning ways, disposing of the Ninja 54 to 50. Anderson and Rice led the way with 13 points each. Do you think these guys get tired of winning? No! After winning the first 4 Legends championships, they were asked that very question – their answer – “Are you kidding? Our slogan is ‘Strive for 5’!” We’ll see if they can get there second championship in a row this year. But the competition is arguably the best ever in Elite!
Ninja / Martinez had 12 and L. Hay had 11 in the loss.
Mantua / See above. Lester Maynard also had a nice game with 18 points while Rhodes chipped in with 14.
Raiders / See above. After opening the season with two straight losses, the Raiders are debating on whether they should move back to Los Angeles or whether to fire Al Davis as their owner.
FullThrottle / FullThrottle throttled the Comanche 71 to 35 as Lester Maynard scored 14 and White and Bennett each had 11.
Comanche / Bousman led the way with 8.
StrongArms / In another overtime thriller, the StrongArms defeated the Wildcats 47 to 43 as Kissling had 16 and Casey had 12.
Wildcats / Lester Maynard, who really needs to find something else to do than play Legends basketball, led the way with 15 and Greene added 11. “I just can’t get enough of this great league,” stated the two-teaming Legend.

Xmen / See above.
Thunder (women’s league) / See above.
Grippers(women’s league) / See above.
Lightning (Women’s League) / See above.
Wolves(women’s league) / Carrico had 14 in the win. A search party was sent out after the game for the missing Kaitlyn Conboy.
Vulcans(women’s league) / With the help of Denise Stubbs (23 points) and Mia Peak’s 16 the Vulcans defeated the Bankers 57 to 37.
Bankers(women’s league) / Lilley had 12 and Bruce added 11 in the loss.
