Course Objective

-This class is designed to educate students on how the American Government works. Student need to learn the structure of the government system as well as the election process. This course is crucial for students at this age because they will soon enter the world of politics through Voting. American government Education helps students learn how to make informed political decisions and understand how their country runs.

Grading

Both parents and students are able to monitor grades and attendance through the I-now program throughout the class. However, if questions arise about grades or progress please contact me.

Make-Up Work and Tests

-Students will be held responsible for makeup work and tests.

-Students will have three days to turn in assignments after returning to school.

-A ZERO will be given on the fourth day if work is not completed.

Classroom Guidelines:

-Writing Utensil ( Blue/Black Pens or Pencil )

-Notebook Paper

-Small or Medium sized three ring binder. (Add notebook paper to it.)

Many of the materials needed throughout the semester will be posted on the website. Here you will be able to access the calendar for the class and other important announcements. Please refer to the website throughout the class. We will also be using google classroom to keep students up to date this year. each class has a code which they will need to access the class and begin working on assignments.
