d) Assignment number in UPPER LEFT CORNER.

BOOKS: 1. Laboratory Manual must be covered at all times.

2. BINDER and GRAPH BOOK must come to class everyday.

HOMEWORKS: 1. Absence does not excuse you from doing homework. It is your responsibility to get the assignment (check my WEB page or your lab partner.)

2. Homework must be done in BLUE or BLACK ink.

3. Homework submitted late is subject to a point penalty unless you have an excused absence. Some homework may not be accepted at all (in cases where answers have been given).

LAB REPORTS: 1. All lab reports will be collected and graded. All students will be assigned a lab partner. If a partner is absent, the other partner who is present in class will:

a) take additional handouts given out in class

b) copy down assignments and due dates

and give this information to absent partner when they return to class. The present partner will also take careful notes so that absent partner can copy or photocopy on their return.

EXAMS/

QUIZZES: 1. Exams will be announced in class one week in advance. The exam will cover class material, reading assignments that may or may not have been reviewed in class and lab information. Expect an exam after each topic.

2. Unannounced quizzes are occasionally given.

BE PREPARED EVERY DAY.

3. If you are absent for an exam, it is your responsibility to arrange a make-up exam during that cycle.

PARTICIPATION: Participation means cooperation in class, being prepared for class, being attentive and following all school and class rules.

a)Please hold all garbage until the end of the period; it is very distracting when someone gets out of his/her seat in the middle of class.

b)No make-up, mirrors, or hairbrushes should be visible in the classroom even if you are finish class work early.

c)No food, or drink (water too)in the classroom.

d)Absolutely, positively NO GUM chewing.

GRADES: 1. Each student's quarterly grade will be based approximately on the following:

a) Homework (40%)

b) Exams (30%)

c) Lab Reports (25%)

d) Quiz/Participation ( 5%)

2. Extra credit is not given and unnecessary if you complete all assignments given.

MISCELLANEOUS:

1. Be sure to get the telephone number of your lab partner and one other classmate in your class.

2. You are expected to be PROMPT and PREPARED for every class.
