Draft Minutes of the Statutory Meeting of Clungunford Parish Council held on Wednesday July 12th 2017 at 8.00 p.m. in the Village Hall.

Present :- Councillors Roberts, Mrs Rooney, Arbrey, Tucker, Mrs Bason. Councillor Roberts in the chair. Also present Councillor Hartin of Shropshire Council.

14 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

There were none.

15 APOLOGIES

Councillors Rollason and Elliott on holiday.

Councillor Chapman abroad.

16 MINUTES OF LAST MEETING

These were agreed to be accurate and signed to that effect.

17 MATTERS ARISING

The new laptop computer, which cost £498. 98, is now up and running.

Aon have written to confirm the parish council insurance has been renewed.

18 PLANNING MATTERS

17/02227/LBC Internal alterations including re-ordering internal walls for the provision

of a bathroom and the removal of a staircase affecting a Grade 11 listed building, at

Abcott Manor for Mr & Mrs Gledhill. No objection from Parish Council planning

committee.

The time during which Heath Farm could put in another planning application has ended

now. So the matter is closed.

19 INFORMATION COMMISSIONER’S OFFICE

It was agreed that the annual subscription of £35 should be paid.

20 SOUTH WEST SHROPSHIRE GRANTS SCHEME

After discussion of to whom in the parish previous grants had been made, it was

unanimously agreed that a donation of £150 should be made to the scheme out of parish

council funds.

21 CO-OPTION

Co-option of a new councillor is not proving that easy and will take a little more time yet.

22 CORRESPONDENCE

A letter from former resident of Clungunford seeking help with their family history has

been passed on to the Bason family as the residents who have been in the village the

longest.

23. AUTHORISATION OF PAYMENTS

Clerk’s salary May/June £542.16

Proposed by Councillor Arbrey, seconded by Councillor Tucker and agreed.

24 PARISH MATTERS

The layby at Hopton Heath, which has been grassed over, had been grassed over by the

owner of the adjacent Asley Pools, who had asked Shropshire Council, whose land it was,

for their permission first.

The defibulator based at the Village Hall should be serviced regularly, but is it? It was

agreed Councillor Mrs Bason would look into the matter.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday September 13th 2017

The meeting closed at 8.30 pm.

The external audit has been completed now. There is a fee note for £30 to be paid for extra

work which had to be carried out by the auditors. The External Auditors for the next five

years will be PKF Littlejohn LLP.
