Council notes – September 14, 2015

  • Government of Saskatchewan provided notice that the Lagoon Expansion Project applied for under the New Building Canada Fund is eligible for funding but has not been awarded funds at this time.
  • Government of Saskatchewan provided notice on tax enforcement proceedings.
  • Minister of Environment response to the letter sent to the Multi-Material Recycling Program indicating a working group has been established to launch the program.
  • R.M. of Lake Alma #8 will hold a meeting on October 15 to draft a memorandum of understanding for the Municipal Capacity Development Program.
  • R.M. of Laurier #38 provided information on requirements for donations to the Radville Laurier Cemetery.
  • Saskatchewan Federation of Police Officers request for support in the 2015 Crime Prevention Guide. Council discussed and will not be advertising in the 2015 guide.
  • Tourism Radville request to put a team in for the scarecrow build off at the Harvest Heritage Festival on September 19. Council is not able to put a team in the scarecrow build off.
  • The accounts for approval, Cheques No. 25523 to 25554, totaling $88,114.80 were approved for payment.
  • Municipal Utilities Central installed backwash pipes on filters at the Water Treatment Plant.
  • Repair to valve on a filter at Water Treatment Plant has been completed.
  • A culvert and approach have been installed in the Commercial Subdivision to provide access to the property.
  • Skunks have been surfacing in town again. Traps have been set.
  • The Town of Radville approved a building permit for a residential green house on Lot 17, Block 9, Plan AX1974.
  • The Town of Radville purchased a packer for road repair.
  • The Town of Radville will register the Administrator and Mayor to attend the SUMA regional meeting on September 30 in Tribune.
  • The Town of Radville approved a moving permit from Parcel D, Plan 76R55135 to Lot 7, Block 2, Plan 64R4374.
  • Next regular meeting of Town Council will be held Monday, September 28, 2015, 7:00 p.m.
