Council notes – October 24, 2016
- R.M. of Laurier #38 sent a letter to “F” Division inquiring about RCMP living in the community.
- Request for Council to attend a support meeting with regard to emergency services, to be held in Redvers on October 25. Council requested additional information with regard to the meeting. RM of Laurier will be sending three representatives. Council discussed agreed to send two representatives.
- The accounts for approval, Cheques No. 26443 to 26471 totaling $40,725.36 were approved for payment.
- Advance poll was held October 20.
- Radville Star will be publishing an article with regard to the animal registration and control bylaw.
- Curb stop repaired at 629 Bertrand Avenue.
- Election day is Wednesday, October 26. Voting will take place at the Town Office from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Clifton Associates took samples during the lagoon discharge for the down stream assessment.
- Bylaw No. 2016-16 being a Bylaw Authorizing Financial Contribution to the Radville-Laurier Regional Park and Recreation Authority, was given three readings at the meeting and passed by council members present.
- Bylaw No. 2016-17 being a Bylaw Authorizing Financial Contribution to the Radville and District Health Centre Foundation Inc., was given three readings at the meeting and passed by council members present.
- Bylaw No. 2016-18 being a Bylaw to Provide Regulation for the Collection, Removal or Disposal of Solid Waste and Other Refuse, was given three readings at the meeting and passed by council members present.
