Election of Personal or Life Members

to the RYA Council 2016

·  There are three vacancies to represent Personal and Life Members. The term of office will be for four years (i.e. from the AGM in November 2016 to the AGM in 2020).

·  Candidates must be Personal or Life Members of the RYA and this form may be used for one application only.

·  Elected candidates will be required to sign a Council / Committee Member Declarations and Waivers Form.

·  Application Forms should be emailed to or sent by post to the Chief Executive at RYA House, Ensign Way, Hamble, Southampton, Hampshire SO31 4YA. The information provided on the form will be included on the ballot paper printed in the RYA Magazine and published on the website.

·  The candidate’s election brief (“Additional Information”) must not exceed 200 words. The submission should focus on what the candidate would hope to achieve whilst serving on the Council. It should also include a short outline of the candidate’s boating experience, key roles held with clubs and associations and areas of interest e.g. inland waterways, motor boating, windsurfing.

·  The RYA is committed to equality of opportunity and candidates are requested to complete the RYA’s Equal Opportunities Monitoring form.
