Gauge: 23 sts = 4”; 30 rows = 4” measured over pattern using [US5] needles. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needle to obtain the gauge.

Keeping to the color sequence throughout, work as follows;

Back and Front are the same.

With 5 US needles and A Cast on 58(66, 70, 74, 82 )sts

Row 1 (Right Side): K2, * p2, k2; rep to end

Row 2: P2, * k2, p2; rep to end.

Repeat first 2 rows 5 times more.

Rows 13 & 14: Knit 2 rows using B

Rows 15 & 16: As rows 1 & 2.

Note: All rows worked in B are knit.

Change to Stockinette Stitch and work even until back/front measures approx 9( 10, 11, 13, 15)” ending with a w.s. row.

Divide for neck: K26(29, 30, 32, 35), turn. **Bind off 2(3, 3, 3, 3)sts at neck edge, work to end. Work 1 row even. Bind off 2(2, 3, 3, 3)sts at beg of next row, work 1 row. Bind off 2(2, 2, 2, 3)sts at beg of next row. Work 2 rows even and place remaining 20(22, 22, 24, 26)sts onto a holder. Bind off center 6(8, 10, 10, 12)sts work to end. Work 1 row even. Complete from * * to match other shoulder.

Sleeves: Cast on 30( 34, 34, 38, 42) sts.

Row 1 (Right Side): K2, * p2, k2; rep to end

Row 2: P2, * k2, p2; rep to end.

Repeat first 2 rows 5 times more.

Rows 13 & 14: Knit 2 rows using B

Rows 15 & 16: As rows 1 & 2.

Note: All rows worked in B are knit.

Change to stockinette st. increasing 1 st at beg and end of next and every following 4th row until 50(52, 56, 60, 64)sts Work even until sleeve measures 8(8 ½, 10 ½, 11 ½, 12 ½)” Bind off loosely.

Finishing: Place corresponding shoulders onto separate needles facing same way, right sides together. With third needle purl 2 sts tog (one from each needle) binding off at the same time. Weave in all loose ends. Sew up side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeve.

Neckband: Using 5 US 16” circular needle and A, beginning at center front neck, pick up and knit 78 (82, 86, 86, 90) sts evenly around neck. Place Marker. Begin k2, p2 ending with k2 at marker. Work 4 rounds keeping k2 either side of marker.(This is where collar splits) Round 5: Continue in ribbing pattern as established only working back and forth from the center neck marker. Approx 6 rows before completed measurement 3 ( 3 ½ , 3 ¾ , 4, 4 ½ )”, knit 2 rows B, then 4 rows in ribbing as established. Bind off loosely.

Weave in loose ends.
