Catalog and Course Description: This is a beginning course for those with no previous word processing knowledge and is an introduction to Microsoft Word. The program used is Microsoft Word 2003. There is no prerequisite for this course.

Assessments: The instructor will utilize in class observations and hands-on assignments to assess the student’s proficiency.

Method of Instruction: This class is taught by illustration from the instructor, working together on examples, and doing in-class assignments.

Grading: This course is a Pass/Withdraw class. To receive a Pass the student must participate in the day long class session.

Special Notes: If you have questions, please ask – someone else probably has the same question but is afraid to speak up. Cell phones/pagers: - If you are unable to turn them off for the day, please turn them to vibrate and leave the room if you must take a call.
