RULES

9. Entry fees at last show – “non-state event top 5 will be required to pay entry fees at last show to receive year-end awards”.

10. 50% participation – (from floor)

50% of shows will be determined by the number of MS shows completed. If 50% is not equal to a whole number, i.e. 5.5, then the number will be rounded up to the nearest whole number to meet the 50% rule.

11. Photocopies of Coggins – Photocopies will only be accepted if stamped by the ALSPC as a certified copy of the original.

12. Announcer – Remove rule “At 1:00 p.m., the announcer will ask all those in the arena to ride in one direction; after 15 minutes the command to reverse shall be announced”.

13. Dragging clarification - Remove “or at the show manager’s discretion” from the rule as this has caused confusion in thinking that more than 10 could be run before dragging.

14. Checking Ponies, Jr. and gaited horses - Ponies, Jr. and gaited horses will be checked to within 30 minutes of the show start time and during the 30 minute break. If not checked during this allotted time and before being shown, points earned at this show will not be counted; however, the ride will count towards participation if the person is a member.

15. Mid-State will have a registry for gaited horses in an attempt to comply with the federal regulations for the HPA. Forms will be available at the shows that must be filled out prior to the horse being shown.

16. Distribution of points – Remove rule restricting membership in two different ASHSA associations & earning points in both.
