COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR
FILM TECHNOLOGY
PART TIME POSITION GRIFFIN CAMPUS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Applicant MUST have a current State of Georgia Master Cosmetology License. Applicant MUST have 5-7 years’ experience in TV/Film Production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare and implement lesson plans to achieve program goals and objectives. Request and maintain supplies and equipment. Prepare and maintain all required student and program documentation and administrative reports. Maintain program certification requirementsand MUST understand and demonstrate classroom and time management skills.
COMPETENCIES: Applicant MUST have the ability to create, demonstrate and evaluate special effect techniques.Applicant MUST have artistic abilities, imagination and proficiency to convey this information to students in a classroom and laboratory setting. Applicant MUST practice Georgia State Board of Cosmetology Sanitation and Infection Control Procedures at all times.Knowledgeable and Competent in the following areas but not limited to: Historical Design, Hair Enhancement Techniques, Tool and Product Knowledge, Special Effects in Make-Up and Coloring Application Procedures for Film and Television, and TV/Film Wardrobe Techniques.
SALARY/BENEFITS: This is a part-time position and does not include insurance benefits; work hours will not exceed 29 per week. Salary is commensurate with education and work experience.
