Job Summary
Your main purpose is to optimise income from corporate partners in Bristol and across the South West by delivering Annual Action Plan to reach and exceed fundraising targets. Key to your role is harnessing the passion of corporates to motivate and inspire them to maximise their support. You will recruit new corporates, build relationships and deliver excellent stewardship to engender long term and sustainable support.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop the corporate pipeline by identifyingprospects through research, networking, use of ambassadors, advocates and cold calling.
- Act as the first point of contact for corporates and recruit new supporters through responding to enquiries, developing fundraising ideas, delivering presentations and identifying ways corporates can become involved.
- Deliver excellent account management across all accounts to increase income and sustain support to develop a reputation as the health charity to work with.
- Ensure the prompt thanking for support, accurate and complete records of donations and the administration of Raisers Edge.
- Work with the Communications Team to raise our profile through implementing fundraising campaigns, promoting events, and profiling corporate partners.
- Promote and increase participation in third party and Above & Beyond events and work to diversify and expand our events offer, including working on the Bristol to Paris Cycle Challenge.
- Develop and deliver our corporate collections strategy to ensure growth and sustainability from this income stream.
- Oversee the day to day management and development of the charity’s gift in kind and corporate recycling programme.
- Research and recommend new ways of raising funds and generating income through corporate fundraising
- Work closely with other fundraisers to swap and generate leads.
- Adhere to the highest standards of corporate fundraising best practice as set out in the Fundraising Regulators Fundraising’s Code and ensure that all activities comply fully with the relevant Data Protection obligations and any other legislation.
General information
Due to the dynamic nature of the sector we work in, job descriptions are subject to review. Jobholders are expected to be flexible and may be required to undertake duties which are not
described in those above. Reviews will be undertaken when necessary by line managers in consultation with post holders.
The charity’s normal working hours are 37 hours a week, but it will be necessary to be flexible due to the nature of our fundraising activity.
The staff work as a team and, as a small team, we expect all our staff to support each other and have the flexibility to get involved in activities at weekends and evenings as and when it is needed and appropriate.

EssentialSkills, knowledge, education, experience / Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in a sales, marketing or fundraising background with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
Experience of undertaking research and analysis ideally on companies.
Track record of providing excellent account management.
Excellent written and verbal skills with a flair for giving presentations.
Ability to express the vision and achievements of the charity clearly to a variety of audiences
IT skills to include confident use of CRM systems and ability to produce succinct and informative reports.
Experience of planning and delivering new projects.
Car driver with own car, willing to travel for events and meetings.
Behaviours / Ability to work on own initiative, self-directed and motivated.
Well organised, able to prioritise and manage time effectively and work to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable / Experience of working in a health related organisation
Experience of working in the charity sector ideally in a health based charity.
A fundraising qualification.
The responsibilities of this post and reporting structure will be periodically reviewed.
