PROJECT BACKGROUND: (Experimental model, organism used, project objective, etc—Be as detailed as possible. Feel free to cut/paste detailed protocols. Use additional page when needed.)
SAMPLE PREPARATION DETAILS (The protocol for the experiment, the sample collection and the following up treatment) Please include the name, amount of substrate and agonist used, if any. Please also describe the form of collected sample: exudates, tissues, etc; and sample treatment: amount of solvents and/or internal standards added as well as storage condition. Tissue samples, should be taken out quickly, rinsed briefly with saline to remove blood, and snap frozen using isopropanol/acetone and dry ice or liquid nitrogen; for blood, plasma, exudates, and cell culture samples, place immediately on dry ice and store at -80 0C. Cell culture incubations should be conducted in DPBS or PHENOL RED FREE media, Phenol red interferes with sample acquisition and should be avoided. All the samples should be shipped by over-night priority on dry ice.
ANALYSIS AIM: (To confirm lipid mediator identity, Eicosanoid/Resolvin profile, Identification of unknowns, etc….) Please list names of all lipid mediators to be identified.
PRECAUTION AND SPECIAL HANDLING (human blood/body fluids, hazard or infectious material, etc…?)
none

Example: 082404 PHaynes EBC-treated; 082404 PHaynes EBC-ctrl) / ADDITIONAL NOTES
