1.A student can, on application, be granted exemption if he or she has completed a course in another tertiary institution that:

(i)carried the same relative weight in terms of credit in the degree programmes of that institution and

(ii)aligned with the goals and objectives of the core curriculum and fulfilled the intended learning outcomes of the common core course or the cluster concerned.

  1. In case there is no similar cluster course offered by the University, a student may complete this form and submit it to the CCGEO together with a detailed course syllabus for approval of the Director of Core Curriculum and General Education.
  1. Students should note that applications are considered on a case-by-case basis. Approval given should not be viewed as constituting a precedent. Students should give detailed justifications in support of the applications.
