Casual Leisure Assistant

Overall Job Purpose:

To undertake a range of duties throughout West Glebe Park Pavilion and Hazelwood Neighbourhood Centre in both internal and external areas.

Main Duties and Generic Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake daily and associated duties as specified in the Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans within the associated facilities.
  1. Ensure an excellent standard of customer care is implemented and maintained in line with the Customer Care Policy and Customer Service Standards.
  1. Assist with the assembling and dismantling of equipment for all bookings and special events.
  1. Comply with the Councils Health and Safety Policy.
  1. Cover a range of duties as required and as appropriate, i.e. reception, refreshment sales, taking bookings, Cash handling, cleaning, supporting the day to day operational function of the service
  1. Carry out all cleaning tasks, both internal and external as per the facilities cleaning procedures and quality standards.
  1. Ensure the general safety and behaviour of the public to prevent injury, misuse and damage to equipment.
  1. Conduct routine checks of all areas, including changing rooms, toilets, function areas, sports areas and external courts etc and then report damage as per operating procedures.
  1. Record accidents and maintain other records relevant to the facilities as required by the Leisure Manager.
  1. Positively promote the facilities and the service through knowledge, leaflets, displays, general daily duties and any such promotional activities.

General

The post includes evening and weekend working which is inclusive of the pay grade.

The post holder will receive appropriate training, gaining qualifications where appropriate.

The post holder may be required to work in other CBC Leisure Facilities.
