Contract for Professional Disc Jockey Services
Dj Ray Productions (“Contractor”) is hereby engaged by Bride/Groom‘s Names (“Client”) to provide professional disc jockey services for a Wedding Reception for 50+ persons
at Wedding Hall, beginning at 4:00pm ending 9:00pm on 10/16/2010 for a total of 5 hours.
The Client hereby engages Dj Ray Productions to provide reception planning services, reception event coordination services, master of ceremony services and disc jockey services with continuous recorded music and entertainment for the client’s wedding reception.
Dj Ray Productions will supply a complete compact sound system that will be set up and tested prior to event. Dj Ray Productions will also bring a complete backup sound system including CD players, amplifier, speakers, mixer, mic and accessories.
Dj Ray Productions will meet individually with Client to help plan the event. At least one week prior to the event, Client will submit the proposed floor plan to Dj Ray Productions . The Dj will set up equipment based on this floor plan. Client will also provide a grounded 15 amp electrical outlet to which no other equipment has been connected (dedicated circuit). Client will arrange for a parking place for Dj’s van and to have Wedding Hall opened in advance to allow the Dj to set up prior to the wedding reception.
Client hereby designated Bride/Groom ‘s names as the sole person with authority to give directions to Dj with respect to music selection, volume control, announcement, etc.
If the event is delayed as a result of Dj’s late arrival, then Client will have the option to either extend the show by double the time delay, or reduce the fee on a pro rated basis according to the time lost. Except to the extent of compensation previously paid by Client under this Contract, Dj is not responsible for any inability to perform due to accident, injury, failure of equipment or other condition reasonably beyond its control. Dj cannot be responsible for any electrical problem or power failure, unless it is directly caused by the Dj.
As compensation for the services provide, Client agrees to pay Dj Ray Productions a total fee of
$899.00 by check or in cash. Upon a request from Client to play longer, Dj will perform overtime at the rate of $175.00 per hour. Client agrees to pay a nonrefundable retainer fee of $200.00 upon signing this contract which will be credited toward Dj Ray Productions fee Dj Ray Productions. The balance of $699.00 is due four weeks prior to the event. All checks are payable to Dj Ray Productions.
If the wedding date has been changed or canceled, Client may cancel this contract,” retainer fee is non-refundable” via registered mail, no later than thirty days prior to the event. A credit of $ 200.00 will remain in effect for two years following the date of this contract. This credit will not exist more than two years from the date of this contract.
This contract contains the entire agreement between the parties. There are no covenants, promises, representations, or warranties other than as explicitly stated in this contract. No modification of the terms of this contract will be valid unless recorded in a written amendment signed by both parties. If any provision of this contract is determined by a court to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. This contract will be interpreted according to the laws of the state of Pennsylvania. This contract is entered into on the actual date signed
