Continued Part 2

In August, my dog had a very serious incident early in the morning. As I was trying to gather him from my bedroom to take him to the ER Vet, I knocked some books from my nightstand that landed on the floor. It was a life or death situation, I’m not even exaggerating… “Dude” (my yellow lab) had ingested a large terrycloth glove that I sometimes wear at night to combat severe eczema. My mom (who lives in Canada) wrote this unsolicited note, that I just ended up sharing this week with the Property Management Company who handles my unit.

The other day my daughter shared with me your note concerning noise coming from her rented condo. As I sit here and watch the evening news about Ebola disease and the news of the decapitation of an American journalist from Chicago I am bothered even more by the insignificance of the complaint made against my daughter who is 45 years of age. Seriously, for her to even have to explain or apologize for an extremely serious situation that recently occurred with her pet is totally unacceptable. I received the phone call from her the morning of the accident and you have no idea how distraught she was over it. To have to get home afterwards and find the note was ridiculous. For her to get your notice over a week later is even more out of line. I can vouch for how considerate a person she is. I have visited several times and the resident below her should consider herself lucky that she is not below a family with children, for if she were, would the same injustice be happening? Cher never wears any shoes, basically tip toes around her so called "home"and gets me to do the same while visiting, she hasn't hooked up her surround sound for fear of making too much noise, leaves her TV at a volume so low, I'm turning it up to be able to hear it. Cher is away at work for 90% of her waking day and does not need to be put under this undo stress from an individual like this just because she may have been woken by unusual noise. For god sakes, what happens when sirens screech thru the night? This is harassment at it's finest and as representatives of an organization, you too are aware of the pattern set by this complaining individual as has been reiterated to Cher. As far as I can see, you as representatives of the building must not only proceed with complaints by owners but be there to support the renters as well by not allowing them to be subjected to this nonsense. I would be curious to see the number of complaints filed against others that have occupied this condo. I'm sure the owners as well would be shocked to find out that a potential buyer of this property may be turned away because of this individual. Tell me please how this is protecting these owners.

In closing, I'd like you to know Cher has rented her whole 20 or so years while working in the States and this type of situation has never, ever happened before. I feel this letter needs to be taken off her file and an apology be made. There are way bigger things in life to worry about and this should not be one of them for her or I.

Respectably,
