Barum's current summer tyre range for cars

Sporty and economical

Hanover / Essen, June 2010. With the Bravuris 2 the Barum brand portfolio boasts a genuine sports tyre with impressive features that include good handling and short braking distances as well as high mileage performance and economy.

Barum Bravuris 2 - speed and economy for more powerful vehicles

The Bravuris 2 was designed as a sporty tyre; it offers high mileage performance achieved through the use of a new contour and an innovative tread compound. A further conspicuous modification can be found on the outer shoulder, where the sturdy tread lugs provide high grip during cornering, thereby accelerating the transmission of steering forces. As a result, the Bravuris 2 has an extremely neutral steering response and outstanding directional stability.

In contrast to the outer shoulder, the number of tread lugs on the inner shoulder has been increased, creating many lateral grooves which allow water to be discharged swiftly from the ground contact patch. The use of reinforced tread sipes resulted in even lug stiffness and uniform ground pressure distribution, thereby enabling the developers to also shorten braking distances and deliver high grip on both wet and dry roads.

The Bravuris 2 is approved for speeds of up to 300 km/h (187 mph). Suitable for 15" to 20" rims, the current tyre range goes from the 195/65 R 15 V to the sporty 255/35 ZR 20 Y as an XL version..
